The Silicon Graphics Developer's Forum has been postponed. For everyone participating, attending, or interested in the Forum, we want to emphasize that the Forum has been POSTPONED, not cancelled. The following is a letter from Ed McCracken to our software developers attending the event. --------------------------------------------------- January 25, 1991 Dear Silicon Graphics Developer, We are all keenly aware of the uncertainties arising from the evolving situation in the Middle East. While we hope that a swift resolution to these problems can be reached, we think it is prudent to take a conservative approach and impose some precautionary measures to ensure the safety of our business associates and employees. Therefore, we have chosen to postpone the upcoming SGI Developer's Forum from its scheduled date of February 12-14 to a date in early May. In contrast, we are pleased with our results of last quarter, particularly in light of the uncertain political and economic climate. The growing diversity of application solutions across many markets combined with global focus is clearly proving to be a major strength for our company. We are working in conjunction with CMI, our event coordinators, to establish a new date for the Forum as quickly as possible. Our goal is to assist the hundreds of you who are already registered to reschedule your travel plans for this new date. You will be contacted by a member of the SGI Developer's Advocacy group to assist you in this process. Additionally, you may want to contact either the SGI Forum Information Line at (415) 335-7483 or CMI directly at (415) 398-5165. As events unfold, we will keep you informed with timely updates. We appreciate your outstanding support, cooperation and sensitivity in helping ensure the safety of all the members of the Silicon Graphics community. We also look forward to an outstanding interchange with you at the Forum. Warm regards, Edward R. McCracken President and Chief Executive Officer
