[comp.sys.sgi] Clear wsh buffer

blbates@AERO4.LARC.NASA.GOV ("Brent L. Bates AAD/TAB MS361 x42854") (01/28/91)

Does anyone know how to clear a wsh scroll buffer? I can clear what
is displayed in the window, but can't clear the entire buffer. I can do
this on a Sun, but can't find a way to do it on a SGI. I have read the
documentation; the only thing I have found are several ways to clear what
is on the displayed window, but not the whole buffer.

Please give this escape sequence a try. If it doesn't work, then it will work in the next *major* software release from sgi.

Well... not quite right. It cleared the buffer, put the prompt on about
the 25th line down from the top of the visible screen and everything scrolls
from THAT point down. The upper portion of the screen will not clear.
Is that escape sequence documented some place? Thanks for trying.
