BLarson@USC-ECL.ARPA (10/08/84)
From: Bob Larson <BLarson@USC-ECL.ARPA> [The bug is dead.] [Long live the bug.] Since there have been a few messages here about forming a heath newsgroup, I am guessing that some heath users on usenet do not know about the two arpanet distribution lists available. They are Heath-people@Mit-Mc and Info-HZ100@Radc-Tops20 . To join, send mail to Heath-People-Request@Mit-Mc or Info-HZ100-Request@Radc-Tops20 . Usenet people must prepend system names and exclamation marks as appropriate. ucbvax seems to be the most popular gateway. (i.e. ucbvax!heath-people-request@mit-mc) Usenet people are unrestricted from joining arpa newsgroups, but arpa people cannot join a usenet newsgroup that is not specially gated to arpanet. If this is not true, will someone please tell me how to join net.micro.6809 without having to wade through all of info-micro. Bob Larson <BLarson@Usc-Ecl> -------
