We have a Tektronics 4692 color copier and are looking to have it repaired ^ and connected to our 4D240. Before doing so I would like to hear of someone else doing this and whether the result was acceptable. I have seen a few postings from people using tek 4693's, but not the model we own. Also, please tell me it is true that /usr/lib/print/tprint is a filter program which converts silicon graphics image files (.rgb) to tek4692 format. Please email replies. Well, according to the file /usr/spool/lp/model/centface the file tprint is used as the filter to convert to Tek 4692, and since SGI filters only convert from SGI .rgb formats to printer formats, looks like you are set. I haven't seen a 4692 in operation, so I have no idea what the quality of the print is like. -- Brent L.
