I have encountered problems trying to run some X software--- now I have been told that the Xt Intrinsics provided by SGI (with 3.3) are below "patchlevel 10", whereas MIT has provided patchlevels 1-18. (The evidence: IntrinsicP.h is missing ObjectP.h etc) I need to get Xt Intrinsics patched upto level 17, atleast. Is it possible to do this ? If so, how are the patches to be applied (to Xdev) ? Any help will be appreciated. -- --------------------------- Avinash Chopde home : 508 470 1190 office : 617 224 5582 (Reply broken, use this address): contex!avinash@uunet.uu.net

XV11R4 binaries, libraries and include files are available by anonymous ftp from fresnel.stanford.edu: pub/4DX. They are currently only at patchlevel 14. If you want patchlevel 18 or need the default /usr/lib/X11 paths (e.g. the libraries on fresnel look for app-defaults under /usr/local/lib/X11), you could compile the client side of the MIT X distribution. Patches for doing so are also available on fresnel: pub/4DX/4DX-patch{1,2,3}. -jim Jim Helman Department of Applied Physics Durand 012 Stanford University FAX: (415) 725-3377 (jim@KAOS.stanford.edu) Work: (415) 723-9127
