I now have a script that exercises some of the things you can do with
the symbol table.
The code is available via anon ftp from karron.med.nyu.edu .
Some bugs are fixed in the driver.
The demo script shows you how to
1) Dump the declares in your binary.
2) Dump the values of your statics.
3) Given an address, find the static symbol.
4) Given a symbol, find its address.
5) Given an address and a struct,typedef,or union, and an arbitrary string
to stem the struct on, printout the value at that address templated
by the struct.
All of the dumped declares and values are in recompilable ansi C, so
you can use this to save the state of your structs or statics.
