[net.micro] emulators on pc-s

mckeeman@wivax.UUCP (10/11/84)

I use a VT100 emulator on my Wang PC to connect to VAX
unix. I got rid of the real VT100 moons ago. There is a
version of the same software for the IBM PC. Curiously
enough, I cannot discover the authorship of the VT100
emulator as I sit here using it. No visible copyright
during use or startup. I think it comes from a company
called "Phoenix". The emulator is lots more "user
friendly" at 4800 bd than a terminal. I also run a Wang VS
using a 2256C emulator, and the PC using itself. One
keyboard, one screen, three computers. Nice.
