We would like to arrange something (the shell? the executable) so that when some of the multiple processes we are fond of running dump core simultaneously in the same directory, there is a separate core file for each, instead of the current situation, where the last core to dump is the only one evident, giving the mistaken impression that only one process died, and preventing debugging of the other core(s). I know one way to achieve this is to run the processes each in its own directory, but this makes some other things more clumsy. Is there a way to select a corefile name other than core? Thanks for any help. -Tim Buxton OptiMetrics, Inc. Tim_Buxton@um.cc.umich.edu
