The A60 is D1, and can record 25 seconds (750 frames) of real time video. It has 2 (selectable) D1 input ports. It also features an ethernet port, with TCP/IP. You can transfer (read/write) YUV (D1,4:2:2) frames with rcp, or ftp from your IRIS, and control it either from its keyboard, or via a little command shell available through telnet or rlogin: (19:48) marc@Cactus:~% rlogin abekas.anim.postimage.com Abekas A60 Remote Login a60% help Commands: (type help <command> for more info) play - play from current position stop - stop goto - seek the disk to a particular location jog - step the disk heads by a field or frame defseg - define a new segment goseg - goto the start of the given segment playseg - play the segment list from the current position clearseg - clear the segment list loop - loop over the given range loopseg - loop through the given segments quit/exit/^C/^D - close the connection where - return the current frame number record - record from a variety of sources protect/unprotect - record lockout for the given range mode - set or verify the display mode disable/enable - disable the Control Panel freeze - freeze the display input - select video input trigger - control of audio timecode trigger backup/restore - control of SCSI Tape archiving browse - verify data on tape without recording to disk mt - tape position control and status for the remaining commands type 'help more' a60% help more pattern - draw the specified test pattern move - copy frames from one place to another macro - execute the given control panel macro recrel - record relative to current position tape - select drive and tape format remote - send serial control packets version - returns current version number and date rcp - .rgbx and .key extensions, store and window transfers for more info type help <individual command> a60% help undoc Undocumented Commands debug - set the debug mask dump <addr> - dump 68000 memory stat - shows the status of the connections reset - clears down TCP connections stack - shows stack usage by task ether - low level statistics tcp <n> - statistics for tcp block n window [high_window low_window] - tune the window time [value] - report or set the retry timeout 18 = 1 sec hostname - change the hostname returned in prompt scsi [res | <blocksize>] - scsi reset or override blocksize a60% stat sd 0 port 21 host 0.0.0.0 port 0 Listen sd 1 port 514 host 0.0.0.0 port 0 Listen sd 2 port 513 host 192.4.1.1 port 1023 Established sd 3 port 23 host 0.0.0.0 port 0 Listen a60% Connection closed. The A62, as far as I know, only has analog capture. The A60, can take 4:2:2 (D-1) video in real-time. I think, though I'm not positive, the A64 can do so as well. - charlie -- Charlie Gibson INTERNET: celia!charlie@usc.edu Rhythm & Hues, Inc.
