[net.micro] Programs to compose music and to paint

I am trying to locate programs that allow one to (a) compose music and
(b) to paint pictures.  I want programs on the "artist level" rather than
on the "programming level".  The only music program I'm familar with is
MUSIC CONSTRUCTION SET.

I will appreciate comments/recommendations about such programs.  At this
point in time, I'm not concerned which particular micro is used.
