ok, I got the post from John Yates, a summary of the ways to get a screen image into other formats. So, I took a snapshot of the screen. Ran tops on it, to get the file snap.ps. I can't get this file to print. Our Irises spool their printing to a Mac running A/UX, which then prints it to a LaserWriterII NTX. snap.rgb is 157405 bytes, snap.ps is 1878266. Is this norm? I looked at the snap.ps file; it looks like PS to me:-( Has anyone done this exact thing? I.E. the following 1. snap the screen 2. run it through tops : tops snap.rgb snap.ps 3. either : lp snap.ps (knowing that the printer is a network Apple LaserWriter) or cat snap.ps | lp 4. gotten a printout? How about taking the snap.ps over to the mac, and pasting it into a document??
