We are experiencing periods when the getty process consumes essentially all
of the CPU time for one processor of a IRIS 4D/340. This situation is
"cleared" by turning off the console and issuing a "telinit q". We suspect a
hardware problem but aren't certain.
Has anyone else seen this excessive CPU consumption by "getty"?
Any clues?
Thanks.
