Does anyone know if there's an SGI or even a 3rd party data acquisition board? The setup is this: I've got a 4D/25, and a CCD video camera. I want to have the two be able to talk. One alternative is to put a video board into a PC (hooked up via ethernet), and do it that way, but that's a drag, and would take time to spit the stuff out over the net. It would be nice to be able to do it right to disk. Thanks, Tom Benedict benedict@chaos.utexas.edu Center for Nonlinear Dynamics

I think the VideoFramer (SGI) does what you are looking for. It has both input and output on different formats: D1, D2, RGB, Composite (NTSC, PAL), Betacam and S-Video. It has also several ways of sync: internal, external, digital or on Green. SGI specs state that all parameters are under software control.
