Section 14, volume II of the Programmers Guide introduces shared resource groups as "...a lightweight process facility". What are the criteria for a lightweight process? What advantage do they have over processes communicating through shared memory? I'm not looking for "one process can open a file ...". In a real time environment with no file I/O how does it improve performance and how do I know if my process will fit into the "lightweight process mold"? Thanks for any help -- ********************************************************************* Alan Dare | Internet : alan@hal.larc.nasa.gov NASA Langley Research Center |
