I am behind in reporting some testing data that I'm trying to do along with a million other things.... THIS IS NOT A REPORT! This is a sample of some data with a specific traffic generation tool. Our environment contains the following: a SUN3/50, a SUN3/260, a Proteon p4200 with a 16Mhz 68020 and TWO of the new Proteon Ethernet boards. The gateway is between the suns one ethernets is essentially unloaded, the 2nd is absolutely unloaded (absolutley unloaded networks are later). Both machines are unloaded, no users, no other use. For this run of data I am using the rpc.spray program availabile from SUN, only varying the packet size Marty -------------------------------------------------- sending 1000 packets of lnth 1502 to 0xc00c5c02 ... no packets dropped by 270 packets/sec, 405945 bytes/sec sending 1000 packets of lnth 1202 to 0xc00c5c02 ... no packets dropped by 290 packets/sec, 349418 bytes/sec sending 1000 packets of lnth 902 to 0xc00c5c02 ... no packets dropped by 279 packets/sec, 251955 bytes/sec sending 1000 packets of lnth 602 to 0xc00c5c02 ... no packets dropped by 322 packets/sec, 194193 bytes/sec sending 1000 packets of lnth 302 to 0xc00c5c02 ... no packets dropped by 378 packets/sec, 114393 bytes/sec sending 1000 packets of lnth 102 to 0xc00c5c02 ... no packets dropped by 574 packets/sec, 58620 bytes/sec sending 1000 packets of lnth 86 to 0xc00c5c02 ... no packets dropped by 666 packets/sec, 57333 bytes/sec
