One of the other data centers at our University is considering using an IBM
Token Ring between their IBM 8232 and a P4200 to support their connection
to the internet at large (they are running IBM VM TCP/IP ("FAL") We have an
Ethernet installed for this connection and have experienced no problems but
I've heard rumors about problems involving 'source routing' when the IBM Token
Ring is used with the P4200. Has anyone had experience with this connection?
I sent a similar note out on the VM-TCPIP list but did not get any bytes
(sic) from anyone who had it installed.
