For everyday communication SMARTERM is preferred by the users, but CROSSTALK is often used for file transfer. Both programs will send and receive files and provide disk storage for session archiving but there are small differences. CROSSTALK provides dialing capability from a menu which does not work through the LAN I am connected to (It says I am already connected {to the LAN}). I also saw PC-VT mentioned on the net but I have no experience with it. mlsmith@NADC
