A while ago I was looking for help where we would take a DS0 line which tested clean with a BERT and would plug it into a P4100(+) and it wouldn't work (Recieve Aborts). The line would work just fine in a P4200. This was obviously a proteon problem because part of their product line worked and part didn't across the same line. After a bunch of investigation with Proteons help we found that the V.35 cables we were using were not pairwise twisted correctly (that is the balanced signal pair was wired to the pins at the other end, but they were not part of the same twisted pair) which made them more prone to noise and crosstalk. Anyway, when using 'up to spec' cables both boxes worked just fine. I guess the P4100's are just more prone to the problem.
