     PROTEON CUSTOMER SERVICE ANNOUNCES AN ETHERNET UPGRADE



Effective November 1, 1990,  all existing Proteon contract
customers who have the Interlan ethernets, model numbers p4213 and
p4214, may upgrade to the Proteon ethernet, model number
p4215-31. 

The Proteon ethernet provides:

          *    greater performance (2x throughput)

          *    more reliability

          *    extra features

          *    increased support and availability

         NEW PROTEON PROCEDURE FOR ONSITE SERVICE CALLS




Effective immediately,  all customers who require onsite service
should contact the Proteon Support Center at 508-898-3100.  The
Customer Support Coordinator, Julie Walsh, will dispatch the field
engineer from the main office.  This new procedure will eliminate
any oversights or miscommunications and ensure prompt response to
customer needs. If you have any questions concerning this
