Has anyone noticed any problems with versions 8.2 or 8.3 versions of software? We run 8.2 on most of our p4200's (10+). The router that is giving me trouble has 2 ethernet and 2 P80 interfaces and is running IP, XNS, and DECnet. When we go into GWCON (T 5) and try to do the CONFIGURATION (con) command half of the response appears on the screen but then an error occurs. I have seen: GWCONF+82;Bus Error NETUP+D8;Bus Error SPRINT+17E;Bus Error The router had been running fine for some time before this problem started occurring but now is repeatable every time the command is issued. Other routers running 8.2 software do not have this problem, although this is the only one with 2 P80 interfaces currently active. Also, I can not get this problem to manifest itself on a testbed with no "real traffic." I tried loading a different copy of 8.2. I tried swapping the router for another p4200. I tried loading version 8.3 software. When 8.3 was loaded, this problem was corrected, however, The XNS routing tables in other routers on the net (8.2 software) did not get any information from the router running 8.3 software. Although the table in the 8.3 router was complete. I will be doing some testing of compatability of 8.2 and 8.3 for XNS, but has anyone experienced or heard of these problems?
