question: can i install two ethernet cards into a p4100 or p4100+?
reason. at our remote sites we have admin users connected to terminal
servers connected to p4100s and back here to our p4200. There is fear
that someone could walk into the computer labs at the remote sites
(same subnet), run netwatch and look at student information. I was
thinking that if I added an additional ethernet card to the router
at the remote sites I could then physically separate the student lab
and the admin users. Is there an easier way?
Current setup:
admin----annex---+-p4100- - - - serial line - - - p4200
|
computer lab-----+
thanks

Nick, Yes, there is an easier way. You can run IP Access Controls to exclude the computer lab from certain addresses. This is described in the IP section of the P4100/P4200 Software Options Manual.
