I'm getting nowhere with trying to get our 1186s to talk to a SUN running SUN OS 3.4. Does anyone recognise the following problems and know the solution? I load all the appropriate TCP stuff under Koto; I've followed all the instructions re: TCP.CONFIG to the letter. I then try to CHAT to the SUN Unix host, and in my TCPTRACE window I get: 11383/23: CLOSED ---> SYN.SENT SEND: from 192.9.200.0:11383 to 192.9.200.1:23 11383/0 [SYN] window = 2000 checksum = 13058 length = 0 SEND: from 192.9.200.0:11383 to 192.9.200.1:23 11383/0 [SYN] window = 2000 checksum = 13058 length = 0 RECV: from 192.9.200.1:23 to 192.9.200.0: 11383 14700737/11384 [ACK,SYN] window = 4096 checksum = 58645 length = 0 11383/23: SYN.SENT ---> ESTABLISHED SEND: from 192.9.200.0:11383 to 192.9.200.1:23 11384/14700738 [ACK] window = 2000 checksum = 52558 length = 0 Options: maxseg: 536 RECV: from 192.9.200.1:23 to 192.9.200.0: 11383 14700738/11384 [ACK,RST] window = 4096 checksum = 58642 length = 0 [TCP connection reset] 11383/23: ESTABLISHED ---> CLOSED Then, after half a minute or so, I get a break window with the message Shouldn't happen! (HELP broken) and the function that appears to have fallen over is TCP.OTHER.STREAM, called by TCPCHAT.OPEN. Am I missing something obvious or what? Any help whatsoever very much appreciated .. this is driving me up the wall. Robert Dale University of Edinburgh, Centre for Cognitive Science, 2 Buccleuch Place, Edinburgh, EH8 9LW, Scotland.
