I'm trying to connect our 1108 to our ethernet, and I need to set the IP address so that other machines on the network can access it. I cannot find anything that mentions how to do this in the documentation. We're running XDE (version 4 or version 5, but the machine is dead at the moment) Any help is most appreciated. Thanx in advnace. [Hey, someone else uses XDE!] To use the TCP/IP family of protocols, you need version 5.0 of XDE. If possible, you should get hold of the 3 "TCP Update" floppies that came out with the XDE 5.0 update. Chapter 33 of the XDE Users Guide (dated December '86) is called "ARPA Getting Started". This should contain enough info to get you off the ground. May I suggest that if you are going to use the XDE TCP/IP suite that you ought to subscribe to the XDETcp.OSBUNorth mailing list. Have a word to XDE Support. [Say Steve sent you :-)] -- Steve
