Hardware knowledgeable persons:
We are interested in updating our machine with some extra
memory chips that just happened to be laying around.
Memory chips that are in our Xerox 1186 machines are:
NEC 8542 KP206 D41256C-15
Memory chips that we would like to put in the Xerox machines are:

F MB81256-15 854 B66 BC

Currently our Xerox 1186's have 3.2MB of memory each having a 40MB hard disk.
If the memory chips will work without any difficulty, please let us know.
Also, if the chips will work, is there anything that we must do before
resetting our EEPROM with the new memory size. With the memory chips that we
have we can add 2 1/2MB of memory to each machine.
Any answers to this would be greatly appreciated.
