[comp.sys.xerox] EVMS glitch

We use the Xerox EVMS software to permit fiel exchanges between our VAX
network and our xns file server (also for remote logins to the vaxes).
Since installing VMS version 4.6, we've had occasional occurrences of two
kinds of glitches. In one, the system simply grinds to a halt for a period
of several seconds--surrounding some dort of routine failing such as an
inability to get to a clearinghouse to authenticate a login to the file server.
In the second failing, the pregnant pause is much longer, often minutes, and
a console message on the system (VAX system) then says that the DEUNA has
been restarted. Thereafter, XNS in fact is inaccessible without a reboot
of the VAX (inaccessible to VAX users, that is).

I get the sense that the XNS deuna driver may occasionally hog the system
and may even clobber itself. Anyone else have such problems?
