welch@TUT.CIS.OHIO-STATE.EDU (Arun Welch) (10/04/88)
If you're the type of person who reads mail headers, you'll notice that this message comes from tut.cis.ohio-state.edu, rather than from sumex-aim.stanford.edu. That's because the mailing list has moved here from Sumex. This is also the reason for that test message last week, just to see if the list was working. info-1100@sumex-aim.stanford.edu now points here too, so if you send mail there it will get here eventually, but you want to start sending through here. The archives are in the process of moving here also, as are the lispusers repositories. I'm not quite done setting things up for that yet, but should be in a couple of days, at which point you can get files in <lispfiles>version> (or <lispfiles.version>) from host LAIR.CIS.OHIO-STATE.EDU. Also, in moving the list over here, it's made sense to me to "clean it up", in the sense that I'm converting addresses of the form user%host@relay.cs.net to simply user@host, since Tut's been able to find MX addresses for your hosts. I'm also converting addresses of the sort user%host.BITNET@forsythe.stanford.edu to the form user@host.bitnet, and letting our local mailer forward them through the current bitnet mail forwarder (cunyvm), so that the messages don't go across the country twice (or more). So, I'm sending out 2 messages headed Administrivia. If you receive the first but not the second, let me know. ....arun
