[comp.sys.xerox] Redefinition of keyboard in RS232CHAT

Hofland%rose.uib.uninett@NORUNIX.BITNET (Knut Hofland) (10/04/88)

We have recently connected a 1186 to a RS232 port and want to use
the 1186 as a terminal to an IBM 4381. We run RS232CHAT with a VT100
emulator and the screen is OK. But how can I get the arrow keys to work
(to send ESC O A B C and D) and to program the F1-F10 to send ESC 1, ESC 2
etc. For some keys I want the program to send 2 or more characters.

I've never used it, but I think the VT100KP package (part of
LispLibrary in the last three releases) is supposed to make the keypad and
function keys work when using the VT100 emulator. --Christopher
