I'm beginning to lose faith that Envos/Interlisp will rise again from the current ashpile it's in. Is Allegro CL with Composer the closest thing there is? That's my impression. Anybody have any other suggestions? I've been using the greatest programming environment on earth plus LOOPS, the OOPL with the best environment (no surprise), but I am not particularly daunted at the thought of porting the OOP stuff to a different OOPL like CLOS. What is everyone else doing? -Steve (sjc@iti.org)

Funny thing is that now that the Envos environment is as you say in it's "current ashpile", every one praises it and wants it more than ever (so it seems by the number of requests for the stuff that I understand are being placed after the fact), but while Envos was still in business, the stuff was (claimed to be) junk. Its funny how yanking the carpet out from under "you" (the users) suddenly awakens every one! Just an after-thought A former Envos employee. Hugo Ps these are strictly my views and no one elses.
