Hi, Does anyone out there encountered frequent "xxx filing not responding" messaages, where xxx is the name of a 8000 fileserver, when loading from or compiling files to the fileserver ? We got these messages whenever we're loading and/or compiling large files between the fileserver and our 1108's (all running Koto). The fileserver isn't dead and the loading/compiling operations often succeed even though there're quite a few of these messages poped up on the prompt window. Does anyone got similiar experiences ? My guess is that it depends on what is being loaded or compiled and that there is some weird interactions between the loader/compiler with XNS that is causing these error messages (maybe the loader/compiler didn't do enough handshaking or something). Any pointers will be much appreciated. -- Eric Ho Cognitive Science Lab., Princeton University voice = 609-987-2819 (x2987) email = eho@confidence.princeton.edu eho@bogey.princeton.edu regards. -eric-
