I case you folks haven't heard, Xerox sued Apple on friday for unlawful use of copyrighted Xerox software, namely that the Lisa and Macintosh software stems from work originally done by Xerox and was used by Apple without Xerox's permission. The total suit is for $150 million, of which $100 million is for royalties, license fees, and other benefits that Apple recieved, and the other $50 million is for unfair competition and business practices... They've also asked the Copyright office to declare Apple's copyrights on the Lisa and Macintosh invalid. Looks like an interesting year ahead. ...arun
