In Medley 1.1-S on the SPARCstation 1 PRETTYTABFLG seems to have no effect, i.e. even if it is set to T, MAKEFILE prints out files on the disk with spaces rather than tabs, making the files 20 - 30 % larger than necessary. Is there any workaround for this? Thank you very much, Calle

It's true, PRETTYTABFLG is no longer used. But if you're really worried about file size, you should make your files with the FAST option. This doesn't prettyprint at all, so it takes up much less space and writes faster. On those occasions when you want printed hardcopy, use the PRETTYFILEINDEX LispUsers module. Bill
