In the top of the 1186 keyboard there's a little black clip that holds the keyboard cable in. When this clip breaks off, the cable no longer makes a connection, and the machine is useless. Sure enough, we've managed to break one of these. If you've got an '86 that you're scrapping, we'd sure like to get the clip off of you before you cart it off to the junkyard.
