Nobody responded to the message, so I will try to send a message myself. We have had the same problem with our monitor, i.e. I came in one day and the screen had gone completely blank. I was told that it is probably the voltage regulator. I have someone who will work on my monitor but first he wants a schematic diagram of the monitor before he does any testing on it.
