I apologize if you have read this before. I received no answers, when I usually receive tons, so I was not sure if it was propagating. Please bear with me. Would someone send me some specific information about using dm2500 chat with the rs232 port. I have used it successfully already, but am disappointed with it's behavior. Everything wraps around to the top of the screen like when I use 'talk' on UNIX, instead of scrolling old lines off the top, like with vt100 mode. I have very little documentation. Someone( Arun Welch) told me to use dm2500 because it was more intelligent than vt100, and I'm sure he's right( I don't know my terminals), but I can't seem to make it work like a regular terminal. I have to use clear all the time. When I reach the bottom of the screen, it begins again at the top, overwriting the screen, and producing a messy and hard to read screen. I would also like to be able to pop up the scroll bar to go back and re-read stuff I didn't think was important the first time( like I wasn't paying attention, ya know ;-) ). Thanks for any help you send my way. -- cheselka@cactus.org cs.utexas!cactus.org!cheselka
