Has anyone in netland seen a utility to convert Z-100 Z-Basic programs to run in the Z-248 GW-Basic environment? If you can answer direct to me, I'll post the results here. Thanks. Pete Brown Mather AFB, CA Autovon 828-2094

Yes. The Z-100 VERSION of GWBASIC comes with a TOKEN.EXE program that converts ZBASIC *.BAS into standardized GWBASIC *.BAS. This saves the effort of running ZBASIC, LOADing, SAVE "filename",A, GWBASIC (BASICA), LOADing, SAVE "filename" (without the ",A" this time). TIME & DATE numeric functions are not supported in GWBASIC and this will flag them. You are on your own as to altering the 640x225 (not 200) and CIRCLE aspect ratios (which will cause PAINT 'leaks'). Note that the PC version of GWBASIC does not support the H-19 character graphics (SCREEN 1) used by primative H-89 programs. Cheers, Gern -------
