HELP! I desperately need some kind of public domain modem program for my otherwise perfect Z100. I have a working xmodem-protocol program for CPM, but I really need one that works in MS-DOS, as it becomes annoying to have to jump to different operating systems every time I want to do a transfer. Can someone give me advice? ecorley@dasys1.UUCP -- Eric Corley {allegra,philabs,cmcl2}!phri\ Big Electric Cat Public Unix {bellcore,cmcl2}!cucard!dasys1!ecorley New York, NY, USA {sun}!hoptoad/

I have quite a few modem programs for the Z-100. Gern said that the PD files for the Z-100 were up on Simtel. I don't think that will help unless you have a program to read from CPM to DOS. I can send them if you want to cover disk and shipping charges..... I can send a whole disk full of the(ARC'ed of couse...) if you want.

It is more of a question of WHICH Public Domain terminal emulator with XMODEM and KERMIT do you want??? I recommend BESTERM for MS-DOS for the Z-100. You will have to FTP it binary mode to your host, use your current CP/M resources to transfer it, from MS-DOS use RDCPM utility to transfer it. WITHIN 3 DAYS (or so...) it and all other INFO-HZ100 PD Lib programs will be on SIMTEL20.ARPA for FTPing and enjoyment by all. Cheers, Gern -------
