GUBBINS@RADC-TOPS20.ARPA (Gern) (01/30/88)

OOPS!!! As Don pointed out, I didn't mention the price of
Painter's Apprentice: $35.00 US of A.

To get the wonderful Z-100 Painter's Apprentice (formerly sold by
ZDS for $79) direct from the Author:

You need a mouse. There are known Z-100 drivers for a Logitech and
Microsoft mice. I am not sure if there are patches for Z-100
MS-Windows to work with the Logimouse. The Radio Shack Mouse at
~=$49.00 CLAIMS to be MS-Mouse hardware compatible (If it really
isn't, RS has a good return policy). Don points out that it comes
with a DB9 connector. The ZMOUSE driver that Russ provides will
currently work with only J2 (Russ - Just send me the source code...).

Get Russ's program for your Z-100 and be amazed!

Cheers,
Gern

Should I ask ZDS for a refund ($79 x 0.80 - $35)? :-) Seriously, I like this
package a lot. I've used it to design my own greeting cards (with Chinese
characters on them).

Speaking of MS-Serial Mouse, I got a piano program with the order. What do I
do to make my Z100 to play piano?

About FBE memory upgrade. I put it in about a year and a half ago. I've never
had any problem with it. Not too long ago, I used the 64K chips saved from the
FBE upgrade on my video board after one video memory chip was reported as bad.
This fixed the problem and upgraded the video memory in the mean time.
(Thank you, Gern. It worked.)
