I havent pulled apart my machine latly but memory serves me that I have a 1.01 or 1.1 boot rom. The reason I bring this up is when I installed my hard disk I tried to make it the boot disk and failed. When going through my manuals they mentioned both the dip switch configration and the boot command using B<F3>0 My machine does not reconize Function key 3. I can toggel <F1> and <F2> with no problem. Any suggestions or comments. For now I boot on floppy and set my default to the hard disk for work. Just remembered this... When I set the dip switch and started the crate up I get an error along the lines of Illegal boot configuration. then if I want I can manualy tell it to boot off the floppy.
