I upgraded from 2 to 3 so long ago that I don't remember the
reasons, although I do remember that some of them were
significant. I'm considering the purchase of a used Sharp PC4501
Laptop mostly to use as a portable scratchpad for stuff I'd then move
into the HZ-100. The Sharp comes with DOS 2.11, and I don't know [yet]
whether it's in ROM or on a system disk. If the latter, I assume I can
kluge up a 3.x dos for it, but my question is:
What am I letting myself in for with 2.11 unless I CAN change
it to 3.x? It's bad enough that I'll be waiting for floppys, but if I
also can't stand the operating system I shouldn't buy the beast.
And, does anybody out there have any first hand experience with
this machine that should influence my decision? I'm going to try
to decide Friday if I can get an answer to the DOS question.
