Can anyone out there tell me whether it is possible (and if so, how I go about it) to configur MS-DOS to use an S-100 address as the AUX port instead of J1/J2. Specifically, I would like to try to get KERMIT or BESTERM to work with my U.S.R S-100 modem. I noticed in the code that BESTERM uses auxin/auxout for it's I/O and I assume that Kermit also references MS-DOS's current definition of AUX since it follows the AUX configuration of port J1 or J2. If I can tell MS-DOS to re-define AUX to be a specified S-100 bus address (or pair of addresses), then KERMIT and/or BESTERM should work, right??? Hopefully, Cindy Grieb grieb@locke.hs.washington.edu
