As someone else stated, many have updated from dBase II to III+ or whatever. I have not, and wonder whether the files generated by II are identical to the newer ones. I bought a laptop, and although I haven't tried HZ-100 dBase on it, I don't think it's going to work. If I bought a [forgive me!] PC-dBase for it, would I be able to update my old files and/or push the updated files back to the Z-100 and use them? Or do conversion programs exist, or is it necessary to use the hack of saving the files in ascii (SDF format I think is the dBase term) to go from one to the other? I also seem to remember hearing of some [PD?] software which deals directly with dBase files. Can anybody tell me where I might track down same or what they might do for me if they exist? don --- Don Malpass [malpass@LL-vlsi.arpa], [malpass@gandalf.ll.mit.edu] A flush beats a full house.
