I am terminally bothered. I use BSTPC (Best Term....) and Kermit, and occasionally need to talk to a system that wants to feed me ANSI screen sequences. I have a functional ANSI.SYS driver, and downloaded text, when typed, displays the ansi screen stuff, in color, with clear screens, etc., but not when I am on line. What do I hve to do to get the ansi stuff to work on line. BSTPC is version 2.7, Kermit is 2.29, still better than 2.31 BTW. Both K2.31 and BSTPC 2.7 drop characters a lot. Any help would be appreciated. I suspect there is no solution. Marc Lewis

Z-100 Kermit 2.31 won't work with ANSI.SYS because I bypass DOS during output in terminal emulation mode; I will be fixing this before 2.32a (which is the current base release of Kermit I am working against) goes production. I have heard about Kermit dropping characters from another source, that is my top priority to fix by reducing certain overehad (if possible) and cutting back on sampling the keyboard. (To do the fix, I have to add a longer BIOS queue, and I am waiting for my sources at Clarkson to ship me a sample to me. If someone else has a sample of installing a longer BIOS queue for the AUX port, I'll use it and get the silly program back on track.) Drew Derbyshire
