[comp.sys.zenith.z100] Adding disk drive capacity

benz@CS.BUFFALO.EDU (David Benz) (05/23/89)

I would like to add more disk drive capacity to my system, but don't
have the money for a hard drive and controller card. I have a z100
with two full height 5.25" 360K drives, running off a z-207
controller, MSDOS 2.something. Will any of the following drives work
in the 100: 3.5" 720K, 3.5" 1.44MB, 5.25" 1.2MB, or more 5.25" 360K
half heights? Installation info apreciated also (internal/external
mounting, seperate power supply needed yes/no, etc..).

Thanks

I understand that the quad density 5.25 disks will work just
fine from the 8" drive part of the controller. I believe
that Payload (don't have the address, check a REMark or SEXTANT
or e-mail me and I'll find it) was selling the drives an a
cable to connect to the controller.
