I'm looking for a source (cheap) of the S-100 card and the data seperator used in hanging a ST-506 on a Z-100. If i can find them, it would probably be the cheapest method of hanging a hard disk on an existing S-100 CP/M 2.2 system... Secondly, can anyone gove me pointers on where to look in a Z-100 all-in-one for the cause of a total power supply shutdown? According to the schematic, the fan is a 12v unit, and it doesn't run, and the crt filament doesn't light up. The power supply has been swapped, with no change in results. For what it's worth, the unit has 1 floppy and the hard disk. The story is: It is owned by a friend that can't afford a clone, so did some looking around among friends. he was given this Z-120 by another friend who replaced it with a AST-286 system. The Z-120 was shut off, picked up, carried out to the garage, set on a shelf, a trash bag placed over it (to avoid dust) and ignored for about 18 months. My friend took it off the shelf, took the bag off, scared up a power cord, plugged it in, flipped the switch, and no video, no fan, no nothing. He called me, I looked at it, tried a different supply (believed good) and no luck. US Snail: Mike Morris UUCP: Morris@Jade.JPL.NASA.gov P.O.
