[comp.sys.zenith.z100] Dropping Characters with Kermit

While I don't remember which version of Kermit was being discussed,
just thought that you might like to know that I use version 2.31 (Beta
test #3) with CED100 and the 50 line mode all the time with no loss of
characters (atleast none that I noticed and I can type at about 50
words per minute with bursts above 80 words per minute). A small
change to the executable displayes the status lines on line 50.

My Z100 has 768K RAM on the mother board and is operating at 7MHz.
(Yes I do mean 7 and not 8MHz.) I have made a few other mods which
would have no effect on serial port/keyboard response.

Additionally, I occasianly have SPELL from EMACS100 resident and have
even push from EMACS to dos to run Kermit; again all with no ill
effcts.

BTW, I have tried 2.32 but have had several bad system "lock ups", not
the keyboard lock up which would occur from time to time several
versions ago but something that is locking the screen display and it
occurs at the command prompt after a file transfer but I haven't been
able to reliably reproduce the problem so I am not sure what all is
involved.
