|Well, the TRW Ethernet board certainly *does* exist, because we have one
|here.  Xircom wants to keep the way they read the parallel port secret
|because they've developed a fast way to read it (supposedly).  A Clarkson
|grad student made a paper design for a S-100 Ethernet card using yours and
|my fav Ethernet controller, the 82586.

	If you or someone could give me the name of a person at TRW who
might know what I am talking about I would appreciate it.  With regard
to Xircom, if they really get a patent on reading a byte by reading four
status lines, shifting, masking, reading again, and oring, I'll be
surprised (and a little unhappy...)
