I have a zenith model 151 PC whose monitor recently died, or so I thought. Let me describe the history of the problem: The characters on the top lines of the monitor have become increasing skewed to the right, breaking characters in the process. The characters below these few top lines are fine. Also, when the monitor is on for a little while the monitor goes blank. I go back the next day and the monitor works, but the skew is worse and the monitor dies in less time. This process has continued for a week or so and finally the monitor will not work at all. So, I borrow a zenith monitor from my friend and plug it in. The skew problem is worse than ever and the skew oscillates back and forth on the screen, but the monitor does not go blank. I still think that my monitor is dead as a doornail, but after plugging in my freind's monitor I think it may be a video card problem also. Any ideas? By the way, the monitor is monochrome. Any suggestions where I can get inexpensive repair parts for this job? Thanks for all help. Richard Fenrich Senior Research Scientist SUNY at Buffalo fenrich@cs.buffalo.edu
