[comp.sys.zenith.z100] Kermit 3.0 for Z-100

koziarzw@lonex.radc.af.mil (Walter Koziarz) (12/26/90)

I've got a question regarding the 'newest' version of Z-100 Kermit -- How
does this version (3.0, supports USR S-100 Bus modem) determine whether it
is running in a Z-100 or not? I get random occurances of a 'Sorry Charlie,
you're trying to run me in a PC; I only run in a Z-100' while attempting
to use the program. It works correctly after a re-boot, but I'd like to
know what is being corrupted so I fix the offending application. Thanks!
Also, since no one else mentioned it, I will. Version 3.0 MTR-100 (monitor
ROM) is now available. Paul F. Herman is selling it; I don't have his address
handy. The new ROM includes SOURCE CODE (well commented) and implements
some of the ibm-ish interrupt 10h calls and allows some increased number
of applications to run WITHOUT ZPC. I'll post a more detailed discussion
if curiosity warrants it. I am pleased with mine (had it since 14 November
1990).

Cheers,

Walt K.
