I know this was asked a couple months ago, but there has been no apparent response. So I'll try again. Where can one find the 68000 port of XINU that's mentioned in the preface to the Comer text?? Does anyone know if this guy Derrick Burns has an e-mail address?? Any info is much appreciated. -- Dave "after five years they give me a brush" Iannucci SUNY at Stony Brook UUCP: {allegra, philabs, pyramid, research}!sbcs!dji CSnet: dji@suny-sb ARPA-Internet: dji@sbcs.sunysb.edu ICBM: 40 55' N 73 08' W

Since I'm not sure which preface you're speaking of (there are now 3 Comer books), I'll just say that there is a version of Xinu available for the Sun-3 (68020). Both version 6 (the system described in Vol. I) and version 7 (the system in Vol. II) are available. To get more information, you should send e-mail to xinu-librarian@arthur.cs.purdue.edu (internet) ...!purdue!xinu-librarian (uucp) Or, via snail mail, Xinu Librarian Deptartment of Computer Sciences Computer Sciences Building Purdue University West Lafayette, IN 47907 Hope this helps in some way! ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Steve Chapin ARPA: sjc@gwen.cs.purdue.edu UUCP: ...!purdue!sjc mulching: a process of inbred fertilization which employs certain decomposed organic materials--including but not limited to animal sediment--to blanket an area in which vegetation is desired. Dave, We stopped sending that out now that the SUN and Mac versions are sunning because (1) they are superior, and (2) the old SUN I board that we used for the original 68000 version is obsolete. I suggest you choose from Mac or SUN. Cheers, Doug
