 >> I have had a mysterious letter from Simon & Schuster saying that your XINU
 >>Book I has been superceded by a Tanenbaum book (0-13-637406-9 OS:Design & Implementation)
 >>which absolutely mystifies me - since I see your book on book-shelves around the
 >>world. Since Simon & Schuster own Prentice-Hall now I thought they might be
 >>correct. What gives??? We are just about to start up a full series of OS
 >>courses based on your book((s), software, etc as you know - so any reassurance
 >>as to the longer term status would be appreciated.

 >Keith,

 > That's a giant screwup! In fact, the only change is that there is a PC
 >version of the Xinu book about to come out. Xinu is still going stong, with
 >MacIntosh and SUN versions now available. Also, work is progressing on the
 >virtual memory version. In short, we're expanding!
 >
 > Can you please send me that letter right away so I can track down the
 >problem and get Simon & Schuster (alias Prentice Hall) to repair the damage?
 >The faster, the better. In fact, if you give me a phone number, I'll try to
 >have someone from PH call you right away and get the details over the phone.
